INVISIBLE WORLD

2017 | CANADA | 22 MINUTES

INTERNATIONAL VR LAUNCH EVENT, presented in partnership with the National Film Board of Canada.

VR DEMOS ALL DAY | FILM SCREENING AT 1PM and 3PM.

Many young Canadians travel to other countries and take advantage of their anonymity to play out their own adventures. Playing with cinematic techniques, this lushly shot interactive film explores an incident from the perspectives of Jeff, a Western backpacker, and Channa and Dr Von who are local Cambodians, revealing deeper layers of life faced by people who live in a country visited by tourists.

The multi-screen, multi-perspective, interactive structure allows users to engage as much, or as little, with the stories, reflecting how one might travel in another country. During this special lanch event, visitors will engage with the project in multiple formats, including a state of the art VR Experience, where you’ll “walk” into the multi-screens, surrounded by the visual and audio story.

We will present TWO screenings of the multi-screen film (at 1pm, and again at 3pm), “curated” by a very special guest.

ALL TICKETS FOR THIS EVENT ARE $5, AVAILABLE AT THE DOOR.

SCREENING and VR DEMOS TAKE PLACE in the LEDCOR THEATRE and FOYER, lower level, ART GALLERY OF ALBERTA
